Thea has over 17 years of experience in the Remedial and Sports Massage industry. She holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage, Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy and an honours degree in Exercise Science - a perfect combination for delivering highly skilled and individually tailored treatment, education and advice.
She has worked alongside many highly skilled allied health and medical professionals over the years in clinical practice, plus been fortunate to work with a number of elite athletes, high performance programs, and sporting teams, including the AIS, QAS, Australian Swim Team, 2018 GC Commonwealth Games Management, and 2016 Australian Olympic Team in Rio. She has also recently been appointed Head Therapist for the Aussie Team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
A handy Ironman Distance Triathlete in a former life, Thea understands first hand the value of remedial and sports massage in reducing injury risk and enhancing recovery and performance. She is also passionate about teaching and mentoring up and coming therapists, educating the community and general public on the virtues of receiving quality soft tissue therapy and remedial massage, and loves being able to share health and performance knowledge and experience so that people from all walks of life may benefit.
Aside from general remedial and sports massage techniques, my skillset includes: Myofascial Dry Needling, myofascial cupping, dynamic taping, exercise therapy, fascial abrasion/IASTM, Vagus Nerve Stimulation, NeuroKinetic Therapy. Currently studying Applied Movement Neurology.
